The area is criss-crossed by a network of cycle paths over 1,200 km long, and the nearby Novomlýnské reservoirs offer lagoons for swimming, fishing, and water sports. Nature lovers, hikers, and history buffs will also find plenty to enjoy – carefully marked hiking trails lead to the most attractive natural and historical sites in the region.

Mikulov is also located in the very center of wine country, so there are plenty of wine trails with stops at local and family-run wine cellars, as well as wine tastings in wine bars and wine shops. In connection with the celebration of wine in the Mikulov region, the traditional Pálava Wine Harvest has become widely known.
