Railway romance in Lednice
There is an exceptionally good historical photograph of the Lednice railway station in the castle archive. This picture reminds us not only of the rich history of the local railway, but also of a significant anniversary that we are commemorating this year, as the picturesque line between Břeclav and Lednice is celebrating a respectable 125 years since it began operating. Thanks to this, the journey to Lednice does not have to be just an ordinary journey, but an experience in itself. The Lednice railway station building itself is definitely worth seeing. A ride on this line offers genuine railway romance, which you can still enjoy in its full glory today.
Take advantage of weekends and public holidays and combine a visit to the Lednice State Castle with a nostalgic ride. From May to September 28, Czech Railways is sending a legendary historical motor car from the 1950s, known by the nickname "Hurvínek", on this route. You can experience a perfect day trip, starting with a stylish ride along the track from Břeclav and ending with a tour of the castle interiors or a walk in the castle park. Come to us and be enchanted by the atmosphere of times long gone by.
